Summary:

The work schedule for this position is:



  • Full Time (40 hours per week).


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

Serves as the Accountant/Budget Analyst at post. The incumbent is responsible for codifying post held obligating documents by type of expense in accordance with each allotment specifics. Submits obligations to the Financial Management Officer (FMO) for funds availability certification after verifying that funds are available. The incumbent's responsibilities include budget formulation, development of detailed justifications, developing financial plans in support of program directions, and conducting continuing analysis of budget execution for assigned post held allotments. Handles VAT reimbursement claims for the Embassy and acts as expert on VAT reimbursement and issues including advising Management and other Embassy sections.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, bookkeeping or financial work.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor degree in economics, accounting, finance, business, banking or local equivalent.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge of English (Reading/Writing/Speaking) is required. Fluent knowledge of Lithuanian (Reading/Writing/Speaking) is required.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
