Do you frequently find it difficult to fall asleep at night because you keep thinking about how to improve or produce a complicated mechanical assembly? Have words “chamfer” and “burr” have already become your most commonly used words?  Have you already forgotten that the word “tolerance” has also a meaning in a social context? We are looking for a colleague!

Main responsibilities

• Design of mechanical and electromechanical satellite subsystems
• Manufacturing drawings preparation, manufacturing ordering, quality inspections of manufactured parts
• Assembly of manufactured subsystems
• Testing equipment design, assembly, carrying out testing and testing results reporting/interpretation
• Carrying out analytical strength, thermal and other calculations as well as basic FEA simulations

Requirements

• At least one year of experience relating to mechanical design/engineering OR * Degree in mechanical engineering (or related) with honours
• At least one year of experience working with CAD (SolidWorks, Invetor, Catia)
• Good English language skills
• Good understanding of at least three of the following subjects: stress analysis, material mechanical properties, vibrations, finite element analysis, fracture mechanics, fluid mechanics, mechanical tolerances
