Marketing and Communication Manager

The Marketing and Communication Manager for Lithuania will support the execution of the country's marketing and communications strategy. You will be responsible for a wide range of activities, from coordinating with external partners to fostering a strong internal culture and employer brand. This position requires a professional who can navigate a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and assist the Country Manager and local leadership in achieving their communication objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Marketing & Communications Execution: Implement marketing and communications plan in Lithuania, ensuring all activities support key business priorities, reputation and growth.
• Stakeholder & External Communications Support: Support the Country Manager, who acts as the primary spokesperson, in all external communication activities. This includes preparing materials for engagements with municipalities, partners, community leaders, and media.
• Public Education & Sector Awareness: Develop and execute communications initiatives to increase public understanding of waste management and district heating, translating technical concepts into engaging, accessible content that builds community awareness and support for Gren's operations and sustainability goals.
• Brand & Channel Management: Manage day-to-day external communication channels, including social media and the company website. Ensure brand consistency and support communications for key periods, such as the heating season launch and major project milestones.
• Internal Communications & Employer Branding: Partner with HR to strengthen Gren’s employer brand and attract new talent. Implement internal communication initiatives and organize events to ensure alignment and collaboration across all Lithuanian sites and the wider Gren Group.
• Content Creation: Develop and maintain high-quality, engaging content in both Lithuanian and English for all local channels, including internal newsletters, social media posts, presentations, and marketing materials to support external campaigns.
• Event Coordination: Plan and execute local events, conferences, and external activations annually, such as "Atliekos" and "Druskininkų forumas," ensuring they support leadership visibility and stakeholder trust.
• Group Collaboration: Act as an active member of the Gren MarCom team, sharing insights from the Lithuanian market and contributing to cross-country initiatives, including transferring communications best practices to other Gren markets like Latvia.
• Change management & Communication: support to managers related internal and external changes.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a comprehensive marketing and communications role, including work with diverse external stakeholders (e.g., public sector/municipalities, regulators, partners) and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting marketing and communication activities in a dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to work proactively with strong project management skills to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Lithuanian and English.
• Hands-on experience with content creation and social media management, with a focus on building engagement and strengthening an employer brand. Good knowledge of various channels and modern tools
• Experience in briefing and managing external agencies (e.g., creative, PR, event) and controlling associated budgets and timelines.
• A strong visual sense and basic graphic design capabilities (e.g., Canva, Adobe suite) or experience managing design resources.
• Strong sense of ownership and self-motivation, with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and drive projects forward without constant supervision
