Mid Level QA Automation Engineer

Position Summary
The mid level QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for systematic software testing to ensure that required product quality standards are met prior to releasing Intermedix software products to production.

Responsibilities
• Create and maintain tests that are derived from reviewing product specifications and discussions with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Software Engineers.
• Design, implement, execute and debug automated test scripts for Web and Mobile Applications.
• Work closely with QA and software development teams to capture test automation framework requirements. Port existing repetitive test cases and automate them.
• Implement and maintain a new QA automation framework that includes Selenium and other tools.
• As part of an Agile Team, attend scrum meetings and sprint planning/reviews. Communicate issues with development and other stakeholders.
• Create a dashboard that tracks product defects found during validation testing. Report issue status and quality metrics to management.
• Triage production support issues and work with Product Management and Development team to resolve those.
• Continuously grow personal and professional skills driven by challenging goals.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as defined by the Development Manager.

Required Skills and Competences
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years experience in Software testing, test development and automation role.
• Experience performing validation testing in web-based environments (e.g. Java and .NET frameworks).
• Experience automating Functional, Load, Regression and Performance Testing.
• Experience using test automation development with tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, JMeter, Android, Xcode.
• Knowledge of web technologies such as SOAP, XML, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Good proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Good English knowledge – both written and oral.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and methodical problem solving skills.
• High degree of attention to detail, personal initiative, and commitment to quality.

Preferred Experience
• Test case management tools.
• Mobile App testing (Android, iOS).
• Security and Reliability/Stress/Resource Exhaustion testing.
• SOAP UI to test Web Services.
• Relational databases (MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Bug tracking tools, such as JIRA.
• Continuous Integration tools, such as Jenkins.
• Scrum Agile development methodology.
• Working in a multi-site team with offshore resources.
