MOBILE WEB ENGINEER – ANDROID

The Job

As a Mobile Engineer you will lead the design and implementation of eCommerce and digital programs in native mobile platforms. You will be responsible for integrating mobile apps with core eCommerce engine and backend systems/services. You will partner with product management and create mobile application prototypes to test new features or entirely new applications on current and future mobile platforms. You will be responsible to develop a mobile application & usability testing methodology across devices and Operating systems and versions. You will need to understand and implement Android specific design patterns.

- Expereince in Mobile app development lifecycle, including user interface design, SDKs and HTMLs across devices
- Expertise in Developing NATIVE Android applications
- Experience in Developing Hybrid Android apps (Cordova and AngularJS frameworks preferably)
- Experience integrating framework provided plugin’s to utilize native phone API’s for handling push notifications, geolocation, address book integration etc.
- Experience integrating with enterprise applications and infrastructures using Web Services (REST), JSON protocols
- Good knowledge of Architecture design concepts and techniques and the ability to communicate and evangelize those concepts to a broad based team.
