MS Exchange Engineer in Client Technology

MS Exchange Engineer has extensive technical responsibility of maintaining enterprise Messaging platform based on the Exchange 2013. This involves ensuring effective operation and incident resolution of the infrastructure as well as it’s integration with the other parts of the enterprise messaging environment including but not limited to: Lotus Notes and it’s coexistent environment, messaging security infrastructure such anti-virus/anti-spam etc.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain infrastructure server side components into test and production environments, following the requirements and data centre operational standards
• Maintain large Exchange 2013 environment to support more than 20000 end users.
• Perform 2nd level support, identifying root cause of the problems and leading up to complete resolution
• Patching activity
• Lead operations lifecycle and improvements initiatives (scaling out, monitoring, retirement of legacy system services)
• Provide escalated, highly complex technical support to customers by investigating and resolving systems-related matters of significance
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained and in line with department and supported infrastructure standards.
• Ensure proper change control and is maintained.
• Work to ensure Root Cause Analysis of outages and escalated problems

• Demonstrated extensive experience and expert level of knowledge maintaining of Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013 concepts, practices and procedures, strong understanding of Microsoft vulnerability remediation.
• Experience in other messaging solutions such as anti-virus/anti-spam appliances and or applications, archiving solutions, mobility solutions or real-time collaboration solutions a plus
• Demonstrated extensive experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts; application and infrastructure standards; networks fundamentals; VPN; physical service architecture.
• Knowledge proven through relevant certification e.g. Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
• Able to creatively troubleshoot complex problems, organization and prioritize projects and handle multiple tasks.
• Experience within engineering, building, and supporting a large multi-data center computing environment
• Experience of deploying Microsoft products in the enterprise environment
• Good power PowerShell Scripting knowledge
• Experience with archiving solutions (i.e. Enterprise Vault) is a big benefit
