Ms SQL DBA

I am Nerijus Šarnas and I am leading Microsoft Service Management Division in Telia Lietuva. I am looking for professional to join our team as Microsoft SQL Database Administrator. We are working with Microsoft technologies and our task is to ensure the best service delivered for our customers. Your next challenge?

I am looking for a person who has experience with Microsoft SQL Database technology in several aspects: requirements analysis for SQL servers’ deployment; has a practice with various SQL server High Availability solutions; experience with administration of SQL server infrastructure; has practical knowledge how to upgrade / transfer data / transform various existing solutions to newest ones.
For our team the main task is to deliver professional services for our customers. To achieve this, we need to focus on efficiency of our daily operations while:
implementing automation solutions (orchestration, scripting)
following vendor’s product life-cycle and adjusting to our customers’ environments
improving monitoring, security and backup solutions used in environments we are responsible for.

As a Microsoft SQL administrator, you will:
Perform SQL database support tasks - deployment, configuration, administration, etc.
Analyze implemented solutions’ in use and initiate necessary improvements and changes for better performance, availability or usability
Timely and effective solve critical incidents as part of on-call duty team
Collaborate with other teams and solve complex issues

Additionally, you will be able to focus into Technical Platform Owners role:
Automation for repetitive daily tasks and results visualization – the priority goal to achieve
Manage SQL database platform’s capacity, life-cycle, usability
Improve monitoring, security and backup templates and solutions in use

Your Experience:
Have at least 5 years’ experience in Microsoft SQL database technology;
At least 3 years’ experience in Microsoft SQL server administration and support area;
Hands-on practice in automation (scripting, orchestration)
Microsoft SQL certification is preferred
Fluent in English and Lithuanian (written and spoken)
