Network automation engineer (Python)

STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL (S3I) with 31 locations in U.S and 7 in Europe is a Supplier of Managed Services, IT solutions & Services and Staffing for many international companies across US and Europe.

Currently our client, financial services company, is looking for Network automation engineer (Python).

Automation solutions include change workflow automation, automated incident handling, configuration generation from templates, risk and compliance workflow automation and other tasks.

Responsibilities:
• Develop automation solutions for Networks team;
• Perform code review;
• Develop unit tests for continuous integration ;
• Leverage Jira Agile to track project status;
• Participate in weekly sprint meetings to coordinate development efforts;
• Document workflow and solutions in Confluence;
• Provide operational support for automation tools;
• Document, triage and fix automation issues and defects.

• At least 2 years of Python programming experience;
• Experience developing against APIs and Web Services such as SOAP and REST;
• Experience with expect scripting;
• Understanding of Git;
• Basic understanding of network technologies and services, such as routing and switching, DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancers;
• Experience in Linux systems administration and managing software such as Apache, MySQL, etc.

• Experience with Perl, Bash, HTML, CSS, Javascript;
• Experience with Django;
• Experience managing network management tools;
• Understanding of automation and orchestration systems such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, HPOO, etc.
