Job Description

  • lead, develop and motivate a team of 5 EMEA Payroll professionals
  • identify and progress opportunities for improvement within the region, that align to the regional Payroll strategy
  • support process improvements across payroll platforms in the region, adopting standardized services where possible to ensure operational effectiveness
  • support business growth generally and through acquisitions
  • ensure Time and Attendance is implemented and managed where required.
  • provide guidance and prioritization of all payroll runs, ensuring all proposed adjustments are fully understood and executed in line with Audit requirements
  • compliance with all EMEA statutory tax filings on a timely basis
  • ensure efficient and high-quality execution of payroll process, establishing performance metrics, and meeting internal and external timelines
  • ongoing identification of operational & regulatory risk, ensuring clear mitigation plans are identified, tracked and implemented
  • ensure consistent management of third-party providers and oversee relationships, resolving issues as necessary
  • prepare recommendations & implement any new payroll related initiatives and project
  • support with the equity program for the region, ensuring the correct tax withholding and payroll processing where appropriate
  • drive a high performance and risk aware culture within the payroll team through strong leadership
  • develop a close working relationship with key stakeholders within HR, accounting, tax, legal etc. ensuring alignment of objectives and deliverables
  • review all payroll procedure on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance of SOX and external audit requirements

Requirements

  • educational background in Accounting /Finance/ Economics;
  • 3+ years of relevant or senior role experience;
  • working knowledge of EMEA payroll and benefits;
  • well-developed IT skills including advanced excel;
  • very good English language skills (both written and verbal);
  • good prioritization, interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • flexibility, diligence, proactiveness.
