Your team: ProjectWise Construction Management (PWCM) team is part of the Bentley Construction unit with a mission to build a construction platform and product portfolio with broad set of integrated solutions that leverage core capabilities in Data Management & 3D Modeling to enable Heavy Construction firms to Win project, Deliver them more efficiently and get paid by managing data in civil/industrial project context to optimize decisions, resources and profitability.

Your product: ProjectWise Construction Management (PWCM) product

ProjectWise Construction Management (PWCM) delivers portfolio, program and project management capabilities to facility owners, program managers, and construction managers in an easy-to-use, web-based system that can be customized to meet their needs. PWCM is implemented on LAMP technology stack.

Your Responsibilities: the responsibilities of a Software Engineer include design, implementation, testing and support of product features, according to Bentley Systems’ defined standards:

- Design includes participating in defining and interpreting feature requests, documenting those requests in functional specifications, and designing specific product and features for stability, usability, and maintainability.
- Implementation includes using the latest development tools to turn the designs into actual software products. In particular, implementations must be stable, maintainable and well documented.
- Testing responsibilities include both unit testing as well as providing additional guidance and support to the certification group as needed.
- Support includes maintaining the existing code base and providing assistance to the support group as needed.

Requirements

- Enthused about developing and maintaining web-based business applications for the construction industry.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
- 1-3 years’ experience as a software engineer or equivalent.
- Experience using web technologies and developing applications using PHP and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to maximize productivity.
- Self-motivated person with the ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Desired:

- LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
- CSS, JavaScript, Angular.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum.
- Knowledge of Ansible would be also a benefit.
