Job Description

Detailed responsibilities:

• Performing all variations in piping material take-off activities, such as:
  
• Handling all input, checking and reporting with Material Computer system.
  
• Knowledge of all piping components, commodity coding system and material construction.
  
• As required, in taking assignments, which fall under the aforementioned tasks.
  
• Recording of successful execution of piping material take-off / control on previous projects.
  
• Interpreting of pipe classes.
  
• Administering, progress reporting, analysing (material quantity development) and file documentation.
  
• Producing project close-out report.
  
• Estimating manhours, timing and should control his own budget in close cooperation with the subject Piping Design Lead Engineer.

Requirements

• MTS or equivalent, with a good command of the English language both spoken and in writing.
  
• Preferably 10 years experience in an engineering environment.
  
• Supervisory skills
  
• Cost conscious.
  
• Good natured under stress.
  
• Ability to set priorities.
  
• Familiar with relevant engineering software programmes.
  
• Familiar with classification society rules and design codes.
  
• Communicative skills.
  
• Customer focused.
