Job Description

The successful delivery of a high quality technical engagement in a specific technology area. This means providing the customer with a first class technical experience that is recognised as the most customer focused offering available. The engagements are short term demand led with Microsoft Premier Support Customers.

Key Accountabilities
-Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with your customer engagements.
-Collaborating with the Microsoft Technical Support Teams (GTSC) as required.
-Run/Help co-ordinate Premier related customer engagements to ensure maximum customer satisfaction & minimum dissatisfaction. E.g. Product specific workshops, Supportability reviews, Chalk 'n' Talks.
-Ensure total ownership by working with the Technical Account Manager (TAM), GTSC engineering & the account team to provide appropriate technical knowledge transfer.
-Take responsibility for keeping tech skills current
-Act as mentors for the affiliated GTSC delivery teams, engaging in skills transfers particularly in technology areas pertinent to your tech area.
-Be available to work on certain key customer deployments, which may extend outside business hours.
-Engineers are expected to have a high degree of maturity & independence & should be capable of working effectively on their own within the customer environment.


Essential Skills and Experience
-Strong technology skills
-Experience of working with strategic customers (FTSE100)
-Exposure to corporate exec's & critical situations
-At least 2 years working in a MS Tech Support environment
-Mature attitude, displaying independence, trustworthiness & excellent problem solving skills
-Ability to transfer tech knowledge to others of various tech levels.
-Produce written technical summaries of complex issues
-Self motivated with an ability to learn quickly & deal with product complexities
-Possess excellent "team player" qualities such as sharing info and be motivated by team success.
-Excellent proven written, oral & presentation skills
-Excellent customer focus, & service skills
-Excellent problem solving skills (Practical as well as technical)
-Produce written technical summaries of complex issues
-Know & effectively use escalation routes, to ensure the optimum solution to a query or issue.
-Strong business awareness of typical corporate environments and their requirements
-Sound enterprise-level understanding of network technologies
