Job Description

The Product Manager owns the Kelkoo website in Czech Republic, being responsible for having a fresh website which reflects the tastes, needs and requirements of Czech Republic’s online community.

Job description:

• Work very closely with the local commercial team to ensure the site reflects local market needs, is in line with product strategy and that we take full advantage of local commercial opportunities
• Responsible for and working closely with the central SEO team on the local implementation of our SEO strategy, and management of all local SEO related activities (local content, link building etc.)
• Working closely with the central product team of Kelkoo to ensure that we deliver a world class consumer proposition within the local market, feeding in both local needs and critical intelligence from local competitors - this covers all aspects of our consumer proposition, including content, user experience, functionality, core search technology, and added services
• Support in SEM traffic acquisition campaigns
• Analysis and reporting against the performance of the local website (SEO positions, site conversion, revenue per visit)

In addition there are a number of day to day activities/responsibilities that are necessary for the upkeep and management of the site, which include:

• Responsible for updating content on the site on a regular basis and assuring that the homepage always is up to date as well as pushing content for special events to increase awareness and the ROI
• Responsible for creating theme pages and guides for special events and ensuring that these comply with SEO recommendations to potentially increase traffic levels on the site
• Responsible for working with delivery around new releases (including translations) and ensuring that all requests from the central team are executed within given deadlines
• In general, the role as product manager requires a high level of adaptability in regards to work procedures as well as an ability to communicate and cooperate efficiently across borders

Requirements

• Commercially minded and ability to manage any local content relationships
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Close attention to detail, strong planning skills and an analytical approach with the ability to critique our site vs local competitors and make suggestions as our product development strategy
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing internet environment
• A passion for the online world and the opportunities this sector offers
• High level understanding of effective user experience and product development (training will be provided)
• High level understanding of SEO and how our site should be developed to optimize our search positions (training will be provided)
• Tenacity in ensuring that local requirements delivered as part of our central strategy
• Good networking skills and relationship building both internally, and externally

Other notes

• Strong understanding of the Czech Republic market and language skills
• Fluent English (both written and speaking English) and Czech
• Availability to travel from time to time (for training and business trips)
