Job Description

We are looking for a colleague, who would join our Ignitis Renewables team as a Project Controls Manager in an offshore project in a crucial role for the successful execution of whole project by overseeing and managing the various elements of a project to ensure it stays on track, within budget, and meets its deadlines. We value openness, partnership is our strength, and responsibility makes us a great team. Your key areas of responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and mentor the project controls team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Ensure meticulous management of project programs, schedules, costs, and risks, aligning with the project's strategic objectives
  • Develop and implement robust procedures and processes for project control, encompassing schedule management, cost management, and risk management, utilizing tools like Primavera P6 and other relevant software
  • Serve as the primary resource for Primavera P6 expertise and foster knowledge sharing within the team
  • Communicate project progress, performance metrics, and forecasts to executive and senior management, providing regular and structured updates using established reporting formats and timelines
  • Collaborate with Package Managers/Project Director, facilitating scenario analysis and providing analytical support for informed decision-making
  • Drive consistent and optimized risk management practices across the project, including the development of risk models and conducting risk simulations

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Construction Management, or a relevant field
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in similar roles such as Project Controls Manager, Project Planning Manager, or Lead Project Planner, specifically within the offshore wind industry
  • Have comprehensive understanding of the offshore wind sector, covering the entire project lifecycle, regulatory landscape, environmental considerations, and technological advancements unique to offshore wind energy
  • Are proficient in planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and reporting within the context of complex projects, particularly in the offshore wind domain
  • Have expertise in risk management methodologies, encompassing the development of risk models, execution of risk simulations, and implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Are familiar with project controls procedures and best practices within the offshore wind industry
  • Additional qualifications such as PMI-PMP, Prince2, IPMA certification, coupled with experience using the stage-gate model and structured project execution, would be considered advantageous.
