Job Description

The NCR public sector team is looking for an experienced sales/business development person to handle key strategic accounts as well as to focus on areas of growth in the domestic and World Wide Postal Market Segments.

NCR Public Sector includes the Federal, State/Local, and Utility markets. This position will include accounts in one or more of these markets based on experience. NCR’s public sector focus is applying the full breadth of the NCR portfolio on the mission needs of our Public Sector Customers. Our self service Kiosk focus includes post activities, bill pay, hotel (military housing) check in, health care, and other self service applications. Key Areas of Responsibility:
Develops business opportunities and key relationships within assigned Government, Post and mail transport accounts worldwide.
• Sells NCR's product and service portfolios.
• Works with internal and external partners to successfully increase sales within the assigned territory.
• Develops business opportunities and relationships to advance business discussions

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires BS/BA in related discipline and 5+ years of government/global post sales and business development experience OR MS/MA and 5+ years of experience in related field. Will consider additional industry experience in lieu of degree.
• Solid experience selling to government and global post customers and a proven understanding of the complexities of developing and closing business in the public sector required
• Solid knowledge of Public Sector Procurement, Support previous government (domestic and international) customers required as well as similar Postal experience and some local State and City Government required
• Regular travel required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A track record of success in selling broad technology solutions; the ideal candidate will have sold full solutions including hardware, software, and professional services.
• Experience with POS or self-service solutions such as self check out, kiosks and/or digital signage is a plus.
• Experience sourcing, developing, negotiating and closing deals in the six to eight-figure range.
• Experience with responding to large Government (domestic and international) and providing the sales leadership throughout this process to include competitive analysis, finding the right partners and setting the strategic direction for the RFP response
• The ability to manage complex sales and longer sales cycles.
• Existing contacts can be helpful, but even more important will be the ability to develop a network of contacts relevant to our solutions.
• An aggressive spirit combined with strong relationship building skills.
• Professional presence and the ability to make an excellent impression at the executive level.
