Carrying out reception duties such as checking-in guests, handing out keys, accompanying guests to cabins, giving information and if possible, accommodating the wishes of the guests
Write down special wishes or complaints from guest and make notes who solved the problem
Try to remember the names and cabin numbers from the guests.
Operating the switchboard, fax and internet access
Making general announcements through the PA system
Co-responsible for the sales, promotion and supervision of excursions
Checking-out guests by preparing invoices using details from the telephone computer, mini-bar receipts and cash
Answering guests’ questions and dealing with any complaints
Responsible for the printed matter like menu cards, newspapers.

Requirements

Providing information regarding day programmes and any changes using the ship’s PA system, plus all other general announcements.
Accompanying guests on excursions
Organising and/or assisting with on-board entertainment such as morning exercises, quizzes and other activities
Assisting colleagues with all daily duties if asked to do so by the HM
Show daily program on the television in the cabins by power-point.
Visiting all tables during meals and taking orders
During the evenings in the saloon in order to answer any questions or simply to make pleasant conversation
Assisting in guest check-in and directing guests to colleagues who can accompany them to their cabins
Bringing order in the reception, library and the hall.
Bringing order to the saloon during lunch and dinner in collaboration with the pianist
Accompanying guests during disembarkation
Assisting other colleagues with the provisions (store)
Strict compliance with the specified standards with regard to outer appearance and work clothes/uniform

Company offers

Bring shop and the shop articles to guests notice by active sale.
Sales and control in the shop and generating the corresponding lists for purchasing as well as sales and stock.
Responsible for the sales figures in compliance with the targets of Scylla Tours.
Responsible for the decoration of the show windows
