Job Description

The RPA Configuration Specialist will be responsible for creating automation solutions as a member of the Global Financial Shared Services (GFSS) robotics team. The ability to learn in a fast-paced environment is critical, as the role is expected to comprehend and transform existing business processes into automated solutions within short timeframes. Interacting with subject matter experts (SMEs) from all areas of the organization, the role must leverage solution documents and information from SMEs while configuring automations, while adhering to established controls and best practices. The RPA Configuration Specialist works closely with internationally based GFSS robotics team members and process team SMEs to iteratively configure RPA solutions.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and configure process automations per low level design and technical design documentation to meet defined requirements. Comply with and help to enforce design and coding standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure quality of coded components by performing thorough testing.
  • Be a catalyst to change by demonstrating an understanding of existing processes and clearly depicting to subject matter experts (SMEs) that an automated solution is equal or better to facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) process. Maintain the flexibility to facilitate change requirements as part of a structured change control process, further enforcing your SME relationships.
  • Prepare the necessary documentation to handover automated solutions into business as usual (BAU) processes, enabling a stable production environment through adequate forward planning. Conduct walkthroughs with relevant persons to ensure the knowledge of others prior to final deployment.
  • Recommends and implements enhancements to methodologies and procedures to improve reporting and analysis 
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Computer sciences, information systems, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 3-5 years of experience directly related and progressively responsible experience;
  • Experience in application programming/automation is required.
  • Experience in process improvement methodology and/or software development and deployment, or relevant experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously to deliver on tight deadlines
  • Understanding of object based coding
  • Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution
  • Proficiency with Macros, coding languages such as Java, VBA, C# is an advantage
  • Proficiency / knowledge of various Robotic Process Automation solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, strong organizational skills
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
