Requirements

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the highest level of safety of Hotel guests, colleagues and visitors. The person in this position will be responsible for following and implementing security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures in the relevant area.


Essential Functions

To provide a safe and secure environment for guests, visitors and staff at the hotel, whilst at all times maintaining a professional image.

To protect the assets and interests of the hotel, its guests and staff, allowing the hotel to operate effectively and safely at all times.

To provide support to the Security Manager with security related areas.

To ensure that all company policy as well as legislative areas in relation to security and Health and safety are adhered to.

To perform all security issues affecting the hotel on a daily basis to the standard required.

To respond promptly to any emergency situation that may occur within the hotel whilst on duty.

To under take regular security walks of the property, reporting any unusual or suspicious activity and maintenance issues or tampered with Fire Equipment and any Health & Safety Hazards you may encounter to the Manager on duty immediately.

To complete and keep an up to date record of all security issues and incidents that occur.

Experience:

Two years of experience in similar operation.

Computer Skill & Other Technical Skills:

Ability to utilize computer software and hardware as required.

Ability to learn, utilize and communicate effectively via company issued communication devices (e.g. Resort Radios, etc).

Communication:

Advanced ability to comprehend and speak English to understand and respond to information and address advanced guest requests required both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of additional language(s) preferred.
