Senior Demand Planning Specialist

A Day in the Life of a Senior Demand Planning Specialist:

• Capture and analyze Marketing and Sales events, changes in listings and distribution, customers' orders, factories’ capacities, external/internal trends, and other influences who impact demand and supply processes
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and ensure effective simplified Monthly Business Planning process to reach consensus demand plan 
• Work with cross functional teams to manage portfolio lifecycle, such as new product launches, packaging changes, phase-in/phase-out, and product discontinuation. Ensure that Demand plans incorporate all business strategies and nuances
• Generate and maintain statistical forecasts in SAS Forecast Studio, drive SAS usage for all Baltics ---Food & Beverages categories
• Run reporting on forecast accuracy, forecast bias and forecast evolution. Improve forecast accuracy by analyzing forecast errors, recommending, and implementing appropriate action plans. Explore and experiment with new ways of utilizing data and statistical methods to enhance the quality of demand forecast and generate high value business insights within and beyond demand and supply planning. ---Develop and maintain reports and other analytical insights 
• Analyze and timely evaluate the supply plan (dispatches and loads), react promptly and pro-actively if adjustments are needed. Proactively communicate with production planners and export supply planners in out-of-stock or potential out-of-stock situations, search for non-standard solutions in order to ensure smooth supply and high-level customer order fulfillment 
• Challenge producers regarding lot sizes, production frequency and capacity in order to optimize stock level and distribution costs 
• Regularly review and update stock policies
• Prepare supply orders for supplying plants outside SAP 
• Ensure that the demand plan is timely updated and master data is properly maintained
• Measure and track performance with different planning measures, prepare and implement prompt action plans. Search for improvements of Demand and Supply Planning processes and tools 

What will make You successful: 

• 3-5 years’ experience in demand or sales planning, business analytics (FMCG sector would be a signific advantage) 
• Data analysis experience and well mastered in Excel 
• Good Insight with strong analytical skills & ability to convince 
• Being open minded toward new and diverse ways of doing things 
• Excellent planning and organizational skills; highly developed ability to work in an intensely changing environment 
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) 
• Effective communication skills and ability to cooperate with different people 
• Advanced Understanding of business practices, sales and marketing processes would be highly valued 
• SAP (APO DP, APO SNP) and SAS knowledge would be an advantage
