Are you the DevOps engineer who we are looking for? My name is John Thorburn and I am expanding my Digital Connections team: we have an opening for a DevOps engineer to work in a talented and professional integration team. We work in an agile DevOps mode to support a variety of systems and stakeholders mainly in Telia Finland. The purpose of our team is to help Telia succeed by developing and operating business-critical integrations and APIs.
This position is in Telia Global Services Lithuania. Telia Global Services Lithuania is the competency hub for Telia Company, delivering products and services in IT, network, analytics, software development, procurement, HR and finance operations. With over 500 specialists, the hub is working with cutting-edge technology to ensure group digitalization agenda across Nordics and Baltics.
As a DevOps engineer, you will work close to our technologies within the integration domain: APIs, microservices, high volume and enterprise messaging platforms. You will support Telia’s different business areas, such as mobile and broadband.
Your next challenge?
You’ll have the possibility to be an excellent DevOps engineer, capable of implementing production-ready and robust integrations, based on requirements by business. One of the key aspects of this role is to be in continuous contact with our stakeholders.
Your primary task is to design, develop and maintain integration solutions on microservices/ Kubernetes and Apigee platforms, based on architects' solution design. The primary competence is also to be able to develop integrations with Java and Apigee. You’re also capable of documenting your work.
In your role, you will mainly work as a developer. You will also perform a variety of daily activities, ranging from test support to production troubleshooting. You will also participate in improving our automated build and deployment processes.
You will work closely with people in your team and collaborate with other teams.

The Digital Connections team works agile DevOps, where all team members influence the ways of working of the self-organizing team. Team members are located in many different locations.
Who are you?
In order to succeed in this role, you have experience in most of the following:
- Java, Apigee, Json/REST, SOAP, WSDL, XML, HTTPS, XPath, Linux, UML diagrams, Open API specifications (Swagger), Design Patterns.
- Networking, loadbalancers.
It helps if you already know:
- Bitbucket/GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Kibana, Grafana, Jira and Wiki/Confluence.
- ITIL, especially incident, problem and change management.
- SAFe framework.
Added advantages:
- Knowing other integration platforms, such as TIBCO is an added benefit.
- Knowledge of other DevOps tools is a plus.
- Fluent Finnish.
Your personality:
As a person, you have a systematic and collaborative way of working, good self-leadership skills, an aptitude for learning and the capability to keep to agreed deadlines. You have good communication skills and using English every day is natural for you. Speaking Finnish is an added advantage.
Working time is mainly daytime, with occasional out of office hours support, mainly due to critical/high production incidents or pre-agreed support. Team works in a DevOps mode, and operates what it develops. Days are different, and we support each other to do our best every day. We appreciate that our team members are active, ask questions, help and collaborate with others.

We offer a monthly base salary from 2,585 - 3,878 Eur (gross) depending on your experience. Besides for each employee Telia has additional employee benefit package which includes:
