Senior Fraud Analyst

Job Description

Ferratum has an exciting opportunity for a Fraud Analyst to join our Risk and Fraud Controls Team. This position is key in supporting Company’s fraud strategy, mitigating revenue risks due to the instances of fraud and maximizing commercial opportunities of the company. The responsibilities of the role include analysis and execution of initiatives to detect and prevent fraudulent activities, minimizing losses, and pro-actively looking for developments and new technologies that should be used in preventing fraud up front. The position requires a person who can roll up their sleeves and make things happen.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and analyzing various notifications and escalations to identify fraudulent activities
  • Writing reports, documenting evidence, summarizing key findings, and recommending anti-fraud processes and system enhancements                    
  • Developing and maintaining fraud prevention rules   
  • Keeping and maintaining findings for data mining and identification of trends and patterns
  • Coordinating and assisting on proposed decisions and actions to be taken as a result of fraud investigation
  • Data mining and analysis
  • Developing and automating reports and KPIs alert system

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in fraud detection and prevention in high-volume transaction industries
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of Fraud related risk rules, anti-fraud techniques,  lending policies, procedures and compliance regulations and associated practices (AML, KYC) is required 
  • Educated to degree level (BSc., MSc. or PhD) in “hard” sciences, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance or Economics  
  • Strong experience working with SQL or similar database querying languages, large data sets, Excel, and KPIs management
  •  Fluent in English, both oral and written
