Senior IT business analyst

The Senior IT Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, end users and technical staff to identify and understand business needs, design possible technological solutions and help implementing and transitioning chosen solutions. Analyst is responsible for defining and documenting business requirements and creating appropriate business analysis documentation for both technical and non-technical teams. At this position you will be working with customers and internal stakeholders, covering the needs of business units in all Baltic countries.

The role:

• Gather, analyze and document business and functional requirements from clients and business users
• Understand business process management and business requirements of the customers and translate them to specific software requirements
• Work with the external development teams and vendors to ensure they understand the specifications
• Analyze, document and improve internal workflows, processes, and standards
• Act as an intermediate between the IT department and Business
• Gather and provide technical guidance regarding business implications of application development project
• Execute demos of working solutions to stakeholders
• Work with Quality Assurance to build and validate test cases against all requirements
• Oversee that user acceptance testing is successfully completed by business users
• Develop and execute trainings on completed solutions for business users
• Analyze application defects and changing requirements to align them to project requirements and escalate if needed
• Participate in post-project analysis to reflect upon successes, failures, and lessons learned
• Provide application expertise as a project resource

• At least 3 years of experience working in IT Business analyst position
• Analytical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication, facilitation and visual communication skills
• Advanced knowledge in analysing systems, assessing customer needs, gathering requirements and related documentation standards
• Good knowledge and experience in full software development cycle
• Knowledge of SQL databases, UML and modelling tools
• Fluent English: both spoken and written
• Certification in business analysis, business process improvements, project management would be an advantage
