Senior Java Developer

As a senior java developer in the Payments development team, you will participate in designing and development of new features and refactoring of existing systems. You will work closely with other engineers, business specialists and different groups across Swedbank. You will be designing, improving and coding bank applications, doing software diagnosis and troubleshooting. Focus areas include development of back-office and front-office banking applications, banking core, payment and data management systems. As a senior developer, You will also be responsible for tools and methods evolution effort together with other specialists in the bank.

To succeed in this role you should be proficient in Java and related technologies and have good programming and communication skills. We are looking for you to join our team if you have the desire to learn new technologies and development methodologies.

You should also have:

higher education and at least 3 years experience in development;
JAVA EE (EJB, MDB, JMS) and application server knowledge;
SQL (pref. Oracle) knowledge;
hands on experience with Spring, Hibernate, design pattern application, Unit testing;
ability to deliver simple, effective and elegant code;
good spoken and written English;
ability to travel.
