Job Description

Customer Journey Welcoming is a newly created development area in Danske Bank, with an ambition of being digital frontrunners by creating new solutions and offerings for our corporate customers.

We are looking to expand our development area in the capital of Denmark with a Lithuanian branch. To do so, we are looking for experienced software engineers, motivated to push the boundaries of how we traditionally develop software.

Our development area is working on solutions balancing the best possible customers experience with the fight against financial crimes, like money laundering or terror financing. We have set up an unconventional bank setting, characterized by a start-up culture, agile development, little hierarchy, and a dynamic development environment with many different personalities working with an all-encompassing customer focus.

Our branch in Lithuania will be working on providing a state of the art customer experience in relation to GDPR. They will be expanding on the newly developed customer profile, providing an immediate insight for our customers as to the data that we store to serve them best. The aim is to go above and beyond what is required by the GDPR legislation, to provide our customers with a better understanding of their business, and the ways in which the bank can help them further expand.

The Role

As our Software Engineer, your role will be to design, build, and deploy for high performance, reliability and scalability. You will understand how the end-to-end stack works – from our back end cloud platform consisting of micro services, to the API layer and the UI. You will work closely together with our other development teams, front-end and back-end software engineers, business analysts as well as user experience specialists.

Requirements

You should have professional experience in back-end .NET development or front-end development in Angular. You should also have a desire to learn what you need to become closer to a full-stack developer. Your greatest assets are your passion, agile mind-set, creative problem solving skills and your ability to self-organize, take initiative and responsibility. Moreover, you need to be able to work autonomously with the mandate to move fast and do things differently – you dare to fail and learn from it.

You should have a drive to put the customers first, collaborate with many different types of people, challenge ideas, seek and provide feedback, while being transparent in what you know/can. Your eagerness to learn from others are essential.

Professional experience with either Angular or the latest .NET Framework (C#) and Visual Studio is key. You also need to be experienced with source control using Git, REST and RESTful micro services, as well as API design. If you have experience with dependency injection, SQL Server, agile setups or test driven development that is a plus. Knowledge of build and release automation tools such as Jenkins, the Openshift platform and orchestration is also an advantage.
