About the department:

The Enterprise IT Operation Solutions team provides operation analytics solutions and IT process solutions to the NASDAQ organization. This includes building, improving and supporting solutions for monitoring, performance analytics, log and event analysis as well as IT process tracking, automation and simplification.
Out of the 11 persons in the team 6 are based in New York and 5 in Stockholm. Out of the 11, 7 works with operation analytics solutions and 4 with IT process solutions. The manager of the team is based in Stockholm.
The highly energized team has a mixture of persons with backgrounds from systems administration, technical operations service desk and software development.

Job tasks:

• As a System Administrator you will work with our range of rolled out applications including BMC Remedy, BMC Atrium and Atlassian JIRA and potentially new systems on boarded. You will mainly work with support and operational activities related the above applications. This includes:

• resolving customer issues and requests
• perform investigation of issues on both application and system level
• implement configuration changes to the different applications
• install and upgrade the applications
• The team work as a distributed team and you we leverage each other whenever needed to resolve complicated issues. The team has daily calls to synchronize our work, prioritizations and make sure the global team understands what’s going on.
• The main goal with this position is to support users in the best possible way by resolving issues and request concerning our solutions as well as taking part in rolling out improvements and upgrades.

Requirements

Relevant experience:

• You will have a degree in computer science, similar higher education or have gained similar high knowledge by long work experience.
• You should have gained 2-4 years’ experience from the IT industry
• You must have documented experience in administrating and supporting a business application platform working with tasks like respond to user requests, addressing reported problems by users, application configuration updates, preventative maintenance, deploying application changes
• You should have experience regarding administrating, supporting and operating IT process tools like Atlassian JIRA, BMC ITSM, ServiceNow, CA Service Management, Cherwell Service Management, HP Service Manager or similar business application platform such as SAP or Oracle.
• You should have experience and understanding of a programming language like Java.
