We are looking for a ServiceNow Solution Architect, who would join our ServiceNow development team. I am Juozas Giedra and I am heading the Case Management team in Telia IT. We at Telia are a global company, thus we are now building a global Telia IT. As part of new ways to work we are enabling a close cooperation of Business Units and Telia IT.

The ServiceNow Solution Architect is the accountable role for solution design and all technical implementation aspects of stakeholders and Product Owner engagements in ServiceNow Case Management environment. Role acts as Solution Architect for ServiceNow Regional Service Catalog solutions and regularly collaborates with stakeholders as well as development team members. This role requires effective communication skills, which is a must for this role. Solution Architect must have ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical solution design, that aligns with ServiceNow best practices and is in line with OOB functionality. This role is correspondingly accountable for these activities:

  • Evaluation of new features and produce comprehensive analysis and recommendations. Perform and participate in product roadmap planning together with Product Owner
  • Produces and maintains detailed system documentation including design specs, maintenance, troubleshooting, deployment and testing, etc.
  • Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solutions
  • Ensure that non-functional requirements are met in the system (data security, solution integrity, solutions are testable and does not impact performance, etc.)
  • Stay current with capabilities of ServiceNow platform
  • Be proactive about knowledge sharing
  • Create technical design documentation
  • Provides technical coaching and oversight to junior developers
  • Reviews and recommends where ServiceNow platform fits into the enterprise architecture roadmap
  • Participates in internal architecture forums and communities
  • Medium collegial or consultant interaction
  • Influences others to support decisions
  • Solutions/work products are reviewed and approved by appropriate bodies
  • Keep relationship with local SE ServiceNow representatives for new functionality releases and best usage of Telia instance
  • Capable of estimating solution complexity based on time, cost and quality.

Desired Skills & Experience
 

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in design and development in ServiceNow
  • 3 to 5 years ServiceNow Architect Experience
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Strong Knowledge of ServiceNow API
  • System integration experience using web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM and CSM processes
  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow capabilities across the platform
  • Experience implementing best-practices and procedures
  • Practical experience with agile methodologies/tools
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to describe technical solutions in the terms of the business
  • Good written and oral communication/interpersonal skills, and a highly communicative style
  • Experience in professional communications with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in prioritizing diverse projects and deliverables
  • Proven ability to drive results and readiness across multiple solutions
  • Experience identifying and resolving potential trade-offs or conflicts among architectural options, and ability to align this with business outcomes or impacts
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of ServiceNow toolset and integrations with related systems
  • Knowledge of Apigee, Tibco, similar technologies is a plus.
