Software Engineer (Fullstack) for Markets IT – Market Data Price Discovery

Do you want to be part of something new and exciting? We are looking for an experienced software engineer to help us reach the next level. We are building new applications to handle large market data pricing discovery.

As a Software Engineer in Price Discovery Applications you will be developing solutions processing and handling large data used in Danske Bank Corporates & Institutions trading systems, ranging from risk management to accounting and trade documentation to our clients. We work in a highly competitive market with growing legal requirements increasing the need for IT applications for trading and also increasing the focus on time to market.

In our department, we have the responsibility for a range of solutions on multiple platforms. On the decentral platform (Windows/Linux) we use Java, C# and SQL Server as our primary tools and on mainframe we use PL/1 to link to many of Danske Bank’s legacy systems. You are expected to work on the Java platform.

We use the Atlassian tool stack for task/project tracking, source control and deployment, source control and deployment.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an application developer with hands on experience in Java and JavaScript
• Working knowledge of building RESTful services using the Spring framework
• Experience in front end development –frameworks such as AngularJs, Vue Js, React Js
• Familiarity with Git and Gradle and/or Maven
• A good understanding of how to build robust and extensible solutions.
• Practical approach towards automated testing
• Experience with agile development
• A keen eye for detail and an interest in working closely with our business partners to improve the customer experience
• Knowledge of Docker, message queues, Hadoop, spark as well as web development in JavaScript/Angular is an advantage
