Software QA - Lecturer

A new education technology venture edON is looking for Software QA lecturers to join our team and play a key role in enabling our students to become creators of software solutions. 

The main purpose of this role is to deliver on-site & remote lessons, build software solutions, assess progress and facilitate career development, while working closely together with the Head of Business Education, Programme leads and founding team at edON.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures and training based on edON Quality Assurance course plan and content.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve their understanding and performance
• Co-create and update course materials (syllabi, lecture slides, assessment tests)
• Collaborate with other course lecturers to improve the overall curriculum
• Stay current with the practices and trends to ensure the content is up-to-date

Required skills and qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a software QA position.
• Deep understanding of 
• Automated, manual and integration testing of software and (or) mobile applications
• API testing
• Smoke and regression testing
• Function and non-functional testing
• Experience with Java, Python, JS, SQL.
• Understanding of software project management, tools and methodologies (e.g. Agile).
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and simple manner (in Lithuanian and/or English)
• Creative, engaging, empathetic, passionate and always willing to support.

Desirable skills and qualifications

• Experience in public speaking, delivering lectures and training to groups.
• Mentoring and Career planning experience
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Compensation

• Employment  - €2500-€4000 / mo. gross (full time equivalent, based on exp.)
• Contractor - €35 / teaching hour
