SQL Server Engineer (L2 Support) in Middleware and Technical solutions

We’re looking for candidates that want to be a part of building and improving our database infrastructure and operations. Daily tasks will mainly consist of engineering service support. As a SQL server Engineer for Danske Bank Group IT the candidate will be responsible for operating, installing, patching, troubleshooting SQL server products. Candidates with basic experience in operating SQL servers (at least SQL server 2012, preferably SQL server 2014), who are looking for new challenges, willing to contribute actively and develop skills are very welcome.

Responsibilities:
• Review and implement changes
• Handle incidents and root cause investigations
• Installation and deployment
• Plan and perform patching
• Performance troubleshooting/tuning
• Develop simple solutions
• Maintain and improve monitoring
• Be a part of 24/7 on call rotation
• Maintain and improve tools
• Backup/restore activities

• 1-2 years of experience in operating, installing, patching, troubleshooting SQL server products
• Basic ITIL framework knowledge

• Good English skills (written and spoken)
• Experience with SQL server 2014 administration (advantage).
