Allstate Northern Ireland currently employs over 1,500 employees in a range of software development roles across two sites in Northern Ireland. Our parent company is the Allstate Corporation, based in Chicago, USA is the largest publicly quoted personal lines insurer in the USA, with over US$30 billion in annual revenues. The Northern Irish operations are continuing to expand their IT services to Allstate and have an opportunity for an experienced Storage Engineer. This opportunity is located at the Belfast office in Northern Ireland.

As a Storage Engineer you will work at the cutting edge of Storage provisioning / maintenance for the Enterprise.

Requirements

Essential Criteria

Degree Qualification in IT related discipline
At least 1 year’s Windows Server 2003/2008 administration experience

or

At least 1 year’s UNIX/Linux Server administration experience
1At least 1 year's previous Storage experience in either DAS, NAS and SAN is essential for this role
Veritas Experience or Certification
Applicants who are European passport holders or who possess a current UK (Tier 1 General) work visa.
Must have very high level of English language skills to include reading , writing and spoken English. All interviews will be conducted in English. All applications to Allstate NI must be completed in English.

Desirable Criteria

Networking Qualifications such as CCNA or MCP
Experience in Backup Exec. Enterprise Vault,
Experience in Snap Vault, Snap Mirror or Snap Manager
