Supplier Development Engineer

Littelfuse Supplier Quality Assurance team is looking for Supplier Development Engineer to define, maintain and improve a capable and qualified supplier base and provide support to operations, procurement and engineering functions, acting as a key interface with suppliers and inside teams in new product or process development.

About the job:

• Focus on Supplier Management by category, aligned to corporate strategy
• Work with New Product/ Process Development team for early supplier involvement: Supplier Feasibility study, APQP and PPAP; Robust Material Qualification; Material Safe Launch (zero defect mentality on new components)
• Support Supplier management, including New Product Sourcing: new supplier selection and qualification process
• Drive technical evaluation of suppliers from category perspective
• Plan and conduct Supplier Assessment/ Audit and improvement of critical risk suppliers
• Drive resolution of Supplier Incidents during safe launch period
• Coordinate improvement action plans with suppliers as needed
• Provide cross-regional support for suppliers located in Europe

• Bachelor university degree in Science, Engineering or similar
• 5+ years’ experience in Supplier Quality / Supplier Development
• Proficient English language skills (writing, speaking)
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001. Experience in IATF is preferred
• Understanding of VDA 6.3 auditing
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and basic knowledge of SAP
• Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and shift priorities as necessary
• Highly organized with strong attention to details and ability to analyze data
• Result oriented with good follow up skills
• High level of verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced problem-solving skills

Beneficial skills:

• ISO 9001 or IATF or VDA 6.3 Auditor certification
• Knowledge of 5 automotive core tools: FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA
• Lean Six Sigma Green belt

• Salary from 2200 eur/mon. gross. The final offer will depend on the experience and competencies of the selected candidate
