Job Description
As a Technical Expert, your responsibilities will include:
- Operational Systems Management and Preventative Maintenance, including proactive monitoring, system checks, house-keeping and
maintenance activities;
- providing 24 x 7 3rd line specialist support for all core and non-core messaging technologies;
- providing full support and best service in event of any service or operational escalation;
- proactively managing and reporting on capacity of core and non-core messaging components;
- testing all change into production environment, including documentation reviews and operations manual production
- continually keeping appraised of Infrastructure and Application enhancements in order to have the ability to continually be reviewing
solutions and service improvements as part of the role.
Requirements
We expect you possess:
- Experience in a 2nd / 3rd line IT support environment
- Essential specialist skills in: Exchange 2003 and 2007 Large enterprise solutions
- Skills in other Messaging related technologies (Data Protection Manager, Forefront, BES - Blackberry Enterprise Server V4.1 and 5.0,
and 2008, Mail Marshal for SMTP, Clustering (both hardware and software clustering), Symantec, SMTP Mail Routing, Outlook Web Access)
would be an
advantage
- University education or equivalent in IT area
- Fluent English (essential)
