Technical Operations Shift Lead

Overview:
As Technical Operations Shift Lead, you will be responsible for surveillance including incidents detection and solving or managing appropriately as per documented procedure for all NASDAQ provided services on business days at 7:00 – 19:00. This includes Technical Operations application, infrastructure, hardware, OS and webpage monitoring, managing Incidents for both internal and external customers, maintaining operational documentation and procedures. Also you will need to assure successful team operations.

Your daily working functions would be:
• Perform real-time monitoring of systems for software and hardware errors, application failures and network incidents.
• Execute the Incident Management process and fulfill associated obligations of the Incident Management Assistant which is a part of Major Incident Management process.
• Monitor market data connectivity issues with clients, exchanges, market centers, and network providers.
• Perform real-time monitoring of batch processes, end of day jobs, automated system startup & shutdown of systems.
• Detect, solve and escalate Incidents to appropriate support teams around the globe.
• Assure proactive alerting of monitored systems and maintain appropriate volume of alarms.
• Update associated documentation and procedures according to existing process.
• Act as a point of contact for the team managing complex technical incidents.
• Assure appropriate team competence level and continual education.
• Make sure shift goals are met which includes Incident, Event and Knowledge management processes execution within existing Operational Level Agreements.
• Maintain appropriate Continual Service improvement within Technical Operations.

Requirements

Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:
• Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline.
• Fluent English.
• Excellent communication skills are required, inclusive of strong verbal and writing capabilities.
• 2 - 3 years of prior experience as a Shift Lead in Network Operations Center or Command Center is not required but fits the ideal candidate.

• ITIL knowledge
• Calm and professional under pressure
