Test automation engineer within the Business intelligence department in Vilnius

Job Description

Business Intelligence department consists of more than fifty professionals located in both Stockholm and Vilnius, who develop and support BI solutions, utilizing the Informatica tools. Separate streams focus on development of Big data solutions, SEB enterprise data warehouse and administration of the Informatica platform.

You will be part of this ecosystem and while working within one of the Agile teams, will be responsible for driving the establishment of Testing practices and Test automation into the development process. You will work closely both with developers and Continuous integration/Continuous delivery engineer to increase speed and quality of our deliveries.

Requirements

To succeed in your role with us you should be experienced in Testing and Test automation as well as implementing Testing practices in EDW/Big data area, and be able to lead and drive change in a rapidly evolving environment.

You should have knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL tools, Continuous delivery practices, Agile software development methodology, experience in handling various databases using SQL queries, source and target data testing, data validation and verification, testing of data transformation or mapping, performance and system integration testing, as well as testing with MDM applications. You should have experience or knowledge of the tools relevant to the area such as Docker, GIT, Jenkins, FitNesse or similar.

Optional skills and competencies related to Business intelligence, Project and Change management, experience in coordinating testing activities and optimizing test cycles would greatly contribute in the role.

You should have brilliant communication and collaboration skills, positive and open mindset, ability to solve complex problems and inspire your fellow colleagues to follow you in implementing the changes to their daily work patterns. Your management skills should allow you to assess the current state of affairs, identify gaps and required changes and lead the actions to implement those changes while maintaining focus on current day to day deliveries.
