Testing Team Leader

Job Description

We are looking for a Testing Team Lead to manage a team responsible for testing and validation of new sensors for the automotive and commercial vehicle markets. This role reports to the Global Lab Manager and is responsible for: coordination of the team’s work, continuous improvement of procedures, and developing and executing validation test plans. The Testing Team Lead will apply engineering knowledge to generate cost effective test and validation methods, to meet customer requirements and market needs. This will be achieved through interaction within the R&D organization and other business unit functions, such as quality, manufacturing, sales, and technical marketing.

About the job:

  • Coordinate tasks for the testing team, take responsibility of professional development, and seek for continuous improvement of testing procedures
  • Support the R&D team with product testing and validation analysis, definition, and cost estimation. Includes mechanical, environmental, and electrical/functional testing
  • Design and fabricate necessary test fixtures, equipment and tools
  • Complete detailed validation Test Plans, including execution of tests and generation of reports
  • Complete summary validation reports and update accordingly through the product development process
  • Execute competitive analysis testing and EMC testing
  • Develop regional partnerships with external test companies to improve responsiveness and cost
  • Collaborate with other Littelfuse business unit validation teams and follow/enforce the global work order system for testing and validation

Requirements

  • Higher technical education, preferably in the field of metrology or electronics
  • At least 5 years of similar work experience
  • Proven record of direct personnel management or demonstrated leadership skills
  • Experience working with various electrical and mechanical measuring devices, laboratory testing equipment, and -LabVIEW application
  • Metrology and calibration skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, EMC/ ESD standards
  • Great English language skills - verbal and written
  • Excellent communication, project management and problem-solving skills


Beneficial skills:

  • Knowledge of ISO 16949 standards
  • Experience with project & task tracking software JIRA
