Job information:
As a tool and automation specialist you will be driving the change towards automating repeatable, mundane tasks in IT operations and ensuring that processes and routine tasks are executed without /with minimum human efforts according to best practices. A deeper insight into data collected by service management tools should lead to improvements in IT responsiveness and service availability, which is our no.1 priority.

Job responsibilities:
• IT operations’ tools management and support - defining thresholds, correlating, analyzing and reporting data in order to ensure that meaningful events are monitored, sufficient alerting rules applied and escalation process in place to pro-actively ensure availability and decrease MTTR.
• Automation of repetitive tasks - supporting, formalizing or, if necessary, suggesting and implementing tools, processes, procedures or workflows needed to achieve high level of automation in daily IT operations or incident resolution process.
• Representing Department in automation /tools development projects.

Primary tasks/deliveries:

• Act as a first point of contact for monitoring, event management and service management (ITSM) tools used by IT operations teams;
• Create and maintain IT Operation tools documentation;
• Agree, set and control events and alerts thresholds, suppress, correlate alerts in cooperation with L2 Support teams representatives;
• Develop flexible, reusable automation patterns, automate operational tasks;
• Turn gathered data into meaningful information.

About the department:

IT operations is the newly established department in Group IT. The department is located in two countries: Lithuania and Denmark where Lithuania is a primary site. The department is responsible for overall state of the IT systems and monitoring all Danske Bank IT estate 24/7. Reikalavimai

Professional competencies (skills and knowledge):

• Higher education in IT or related fields;
• Experience in ITSM tool and/or automation platform (e.g. ServiceNow Orchestration, BMC Server Automation, HP Operations Manager, Microsoft System Center Orchestrator or similar);
• Basic programming or scripting language knowledge (e.g. PowerShell, VBscript, LINUX Shell or other);
• Experience with ITIL event, incident, change management processes;
• Experience in Windows/Linux server monitoring and maintenance;
• Experience with creating runbooks / operational handbooks would be an advantage.

Personal competencies (personality and attitude):

• Strong analytical skills;
• Desire and passion to learn, change, improve and optimize;
• Is able to work in a team and independently;
• Good communication skills.
