UI designer (Mobile Life)

The Team

Mobile Life is a bi-model organization, sponsored by Danske Bank however well outside the typical banking structure. It is a development house with a purpose to disrupt traditional banking and deliver innovative IT solutions directly to customers. The idea is that in all likelihood banking, as we know it will not exist in 10 years. Hence, Mobile Life is relatively small, super agile, “no-titles” team working to discover new ways banks can relate to their customers.

We work with some of the most innovative and advanced technologies. Organized in small teams with full-stack developers in very close contact with our direct business reference. We are 80 dedicated people based in Copenhagen, now extending into Vilnius.

The Projects

We are not a traditional organisation in the sense of having a clear roadmap and hence the team will not be a traditional development team with a defined system to own. We will go and revolutionise any banking area wherever the customers take us. Having started with Sunday.dk as an entry portal for current and future services, we are now working on more than 10 new projects, but the idea is the same – to lead customers through their most important life events and make the journey as easy as possible.

You will be part of a project team of mixed skills working together to make a noticeable difference in customers’ everyday life and to bring their digital journey to another level.

Responsibilities

We have separated UI and UX roles and we are now looking for UI designer whose typical deliverables are:

• Developing and facilitating design sprints
• Ensure that all designs follow the design language
• Continuous further development of the established design language
• Creating visual concepts
• Creating styleguides based on the design language
• Visual presentations and prototypes

By effectively collaborating with interdisciplinary team (including remote team members) not only will you ensure that design specifications are implemented but always strive to exceed customers’ expectations and make a real difference in their digital journey.

Your greatest assets are your abilities to communicate and collaborate with many different types of people, challenge ideas and come up with even better ones supported by your technological foundation that helps you develop sound UI designs.

As a UI designer, being fully aware of design possibilities and having a keen eye for the big picture and the smallest details, you should translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity.

We hope you have:

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Experience in:
  • establishing a visual design process, methodology, and design language in a product team
  • being part of a cross functional team
  • user centered design principles and methods
  • creating cross platform designs - responsive as well as apps
  • sprint based processes
• A design-related degree or equivalent professional experience

Tools

• Your primary tools are things like Sketch, Adobe products, or similar
