Plant Controller/Finance Manager

The role of the Plant Controller/ Finance Manager is to establish and coordinate the completion of all plant accounting and financial reporting activities compatible with Hollister’s Mission and Vision. The position will be responsible for cost accounting, financial closing and reporting, annual operating plan, internal control, fixed asset accounting, inventory management and other financial processes.  The individual will be a business partner to the plant leadership team and be responsible for developing staff members.

Job responsibilities:

• Prepare the monthly financial statements and management reporting.
• Coordinate and prepare the annual operating plan.
• Monitor, report and assess the plant’s productivity and financial performance to forecasts.
• Establish, maintain and ensure accuracy of plant standard costs in SAP including review and management of engineering change notices. 
• Establish and manage payroll, benefits, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Establish and manage treasury processes in line with Corporate Policy and manage working capital in support of Corporate Strategies.
• Manage fixed assets by assisting with the development of financial and operational justifications for capital investments (AFE process), control spending in line with approval limits, ensure adequate controls are in place to safeguard assets, assess for impairments.
• Ensure inventories are recorded accurately, monitor and maintain adequate obsolescence reserves and minimize inventory exposure risks.
• Oversee ongoing cycle count process and lead annual cycle count review conducted by external auditors.
• Audit and maintain internal controls and ensure proper segregation of duties.
• Responsible for development and implementation of long range strategic plans designed to achieve current and future year financial performance with specific focus on standard cost reduction.
• Manage submissions for incentives, tax or grant aid.  

• +6 years’ experience in a similar role (manufacturing cost accounting environment experience is essential while additional experience from any of a Big4 company would be considered as a plus).
• Prior supervisory work experience.
• Education in Accounting or Finance required; MBA, CMA and/or CPA (or recognized accounting qualification) – preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• Cost accounting in ERP systems environment (preferably SAP) skills.
