Job Description

Purpose of the job:
To deliver medical and scientific advice and support both internally and externally local organization to ensure that the commercial objectives of nominated products are realized and the interests of the consumer and Boehringer Ingelheim are protected. In cooperation with local (subregional where applicable) Marketing & Sales team ensures the implementation of the medico-marketing strategy.

Main responsibilities:
 Function as Medical Advisor (cardio / metabolism) to external experts with clear separation of promotional and medical activities.
 Interacts with and engages scientific experts, clinicians, scientific societies and other data-driven stakeholders to understand and satisfy Boehringer Ingelheim customer needs.
 Maintains close contact with key scientific/clinical external stakeholders and scientific societies, and drives awareness and advocacy for Boehringer Ingelheim products in the academic and clinical community.
 Provides expertise and tactical input to allow for efficient, scientifically and medically robust global pre-launch and drug commercialization efforts.
 Executes Medical Affairs programs according to the Integrated Brand Plan, and provides the local perspective to the region during the planning and feedback phase.
 Acts as primary contact to investigators proposing/conducting IIS studies, Boehringer Ingelheim -sponsored publications and Medical Education.
 Ensures medical compliance and quality with applicable SOPs, guidelines, & regulations within country medical functions.
 Manages the territory effectively through the analysis, planning and organizing of work to optimize coverage of physicians and customers. Details with the appropriate frequency and efficiency as defined in the objectives.
 Develops strategies for the products, sets objectives and manages budget; prepares annual integrated brand plan.
 Responsible for listing and availability of product in hospitals and key accounts.
 Develops Go To Market transformation models / approaches and concepts in the area of responsibility.

Requirements

Required qualification & background:
 University degree (normally M.D.) with sound pharma experience.
 Mandatory 3 years’ experience at an innovative pharma company as MSL.
 Preferable experience in cardio / metabolism area.
 Strong background in digital acumen.
 Driven by discovering new opportunities for customer interactions by deeply understanding the product and our customers.
 Preferred residence – Kaunas / Vilnius.

 Excellent written and spoken communication skills (local language).
 Excellent command of English language.
 Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point).
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
