R&D Manager Automotive Sensors Europe

Reporting directly to the Vice President R&D and Chief Technology Officer of Littelfuse’s Passenger Vehicle Business, the position is mainly connected with the management of all engineering activities of large team including design, development, and testing.

What is more, R&D Manager Automotive Sensors is responsible for the development of plans for overall engineering objectives and initiatives supporting short-term and long-term strategies set by management. Furthermore, the job role involves dealing with performance and developmental issues to improve efficiency and to meet goals.

About the job:

• Partners with Senior Leadership to understand engineering needs that are key to the business unit and aligns to the business unit’s short-term and long-term goals
• Determines how to utilize and to develop resources to meet schedules and goals. Adjusts resources as needed to ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget
• Leads engineering projects that impact the business unit’s short-term strategy. Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
• Creates, implements and manages compliance standards of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned

• 10+ years of Management experience  combined with deep knowledge of engineering practices
• Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred within automotive (huge asset)/ industrial/ power distribution/ electronics areas
• Solid experience in people development, performance management as well as recruiting
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or related  subject
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Fluency in English
• Ability to travel (up to 20%)
