o Manage and Support Global Remote Access Services listed below

• Full IPSEC VPN – Full network access using corporate supplied laptops and mobile devices
  
• DR access – Remote access for disaster recovery planning
  
• Vendor access – Remote Access for Vendors working for the company
  

o Responsibility for 2nd / 3rd line incident resolution for Remote Access Service
o Co-ordination between Desktop Services 2nd Line teams and engineering teams where appropriate
o Maintain and ensure adherence to all strategic directions concerning the RA service
o Responsibile for project delivery
o Design, document and maintain testing framework and govern all changes made to the Remote Working estate
o Aid and assist BCM with testing of Remote Working issues related to crisis management procedures and planning exercises
o Reporting facilities to generate and publish regular MI on usage and statistics
o Definition of service provisioning process and re-evaluation of existing processes for enhancement
o Support Major Incident Management during serious incident investigations: take the lead, coordinate regional support teams and ensure
logical, consistent troubleshooting methodology
o Participant in lifecycle management of infrastructure and applications relevant to the service
o Adherence to all change management process in conjunction with all of the above
o Maintain Remote Working Services within agreed limits and maximise uptime for availability
o Improve End User experience by driving incident management as close to first time resolution as is possible
o Lead and motivate the team to high performing organisational standards; inspire the team to meet stretch targets and through personal
development and management, grow top talent capability and manage under performance
o Act as a role model to all around them in terms of team vision, values, strategy, overall behaviour and commitment to collaboration and
team working

Requirements

Essential skills & Knowledge:
o Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
o Strong influencing, decision making and problem solving skills
o Quality orientated attitude with attention to detail
o Eagerness to acquire skills and experience in new areas of technology.
o From a hands-on background, proven experience delivering complex technical designs and previous experience in a project delivery or
engineering capacity
o Appreciation of Web security standards for external facing applications and services
o Strong networking skills, with CCNP or CCIE certifications

Desirable skills & Knowledge:
o Degree educated
o IPSec and SSL VPN technologies with various vendors and products
o Team leadership or project management
o 3+ years experience of a similar senior position within an large financial institution
o Strong networking skills, with CCNP or CCIE certifications
o Understanding of change control procedures and incident reporting methodologies (ITIL v3)
o Experience of large-scale transformation and migration projects
o Experience managing relationships with clients at senior technical and business management level
