Job Description
Together with other Hollister stakeholders create, develop, implement and control a plant warehouse/logistics strategy with full consideration of business impact that includes resources and capacity.
Job responsibilities:
Initial:
- Develop initial warehouse layout together with Plant Design team.
- Develop work systems to support Operations (Incoming raw materials, work in progress and finished goods, indirect materials and services)
- Participate in recruitment of Warehouse and materials handling Associates. Develop work processes and provide training for these Associates.
- Develop and implement safe working practices in the receiving, shipping and warehouse areas including truck movements, material handling, waste storage, fork lift operation and related activities.
- Develop competency all of the IT systems in the Logistics and warehouse area. Be capable of training direct reports in all relevant IT systems.
Day-to-Day Logistics and Warehouse Operations:
- Lead, train and coach a team to achieve maximum productivity without compromising product integrity, quality or health and safety standards.
- Adhere to and ensure full awareness of all 5S, health and safety and emergency procedures.
- Work as a strategic partner with all other functions within the company, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted supply of materials to production and the distribution network.
- Plan and initiate improvement projects to the warehouse areas as needed to meet changing demands and requirements.
Requirements
- +5 years’ of professional experience in leading a warehouse function. Experience from a large scaled, highly automated manufacturing/distribution company would be considered as an asset.
- Knowledge of particular ERP system (SAP/Oracle or similar)
- Energetic, able to multitask, adapt and communicate with various stakeholders inside as well as outside Kaunas Plant (production, quality, purchasing departments as well as vendors, transport companies, etc.) personality
- Very good English language skills
