Accounting Supervisor (Maternity cover)

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Accounting team, effectively managing staff positions to ensure optimal workload distribution, resource allocation, prioritization of tasks, and resolution of escalated issues,
• Assume accountability for the execution of daily and monthly routine processes and controls, including daily reconciliation, journal entry reviews, coordination of month-end close activities, and oversight of monthly account reconciliations,
• Engage in business projects by developing settlements for new products and adapting processes to meet evolving business requirements,
• Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and effective communication,
• Provide leadership in the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
• Fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement are provided.

• Degree in Finance, Economics or a similar field.
• 4-6 years of experience in accounting and 1-2 year experience in leadership would
• be an advantage,.
• Good understanding of what impacts financial statements and how it links with accounting, tax, treasury, and other parts of business.
• Being analytically minded as well as customer focused. If you have the desire and ability to take a strong leadership role and can influence actions to create real change then this could be the perfect role.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly structured, deadline-driven environment,
