AI Partner, IT

Vinted, UAB
4817 - 6517 €/m Gross
Occasional remote work possibility

Job Description

As an AI Partner, you will be responsible for taking stalled AI ideas in teams outside engineering and product and turning them into tools that run in those teams' real, everyday workflows - and for making sure the team can keep running them without you.

You will sit in the IT Life-cycle & Partnership Team, part of Group IT, reporting to the Engineering Manager of that team.

The team makes sure everyone at Vinted has the right tools across their employment lifecycle and manages Vinted's tool and vendor relationships, including the approved AI toolset. Within it, this is a senior individual-contributor role with no direct reports and unusual autonomy: you pick the use cases worth doing and you are expected to say no to the weak ones.

You will embed with a small number of functions at a time - for example Finance, People, Customer Support / Trust and Safety operations or Legal - and stay until a use case sticks. You will work alongside our AI enablement effort, which owns horizontal training, guidelines and shared tooling, and with other Group IT teams to judge where a problem needs plain automation and where AI is the right answer. You will also be the first in this role at Vinted, so the patterns you set become how the organisation partners with AI.

  • Lead a single stalled AI use case per function from idea to something running in the function's real workflow.
  • Build prototypes and automations yourself, alongside the function's own people, and harden them in daily use rather than stopping at a demo.
  • Create the reusable pattern - written down after each engagement so the next function can pick it up.
  • Assist functions that ask for help, and bring forward use cases yourself - especially in the early days.
  • Communicate honestly when AI is the right tool and when it is not, and steer effort away from weak use cases.
  • Participate in triage with other Group IT teams to establish where plain automation fits and where AI can be enabled.
  • Monitor what needs Legal or Privacy sign-off - data handling, tool approval - and route it before anything ships, with the decision resting with the named approver.
  • Oversee light operational stewardship of the approved AI toolset - connectors, settings and workspace configuration - to unblock your engagements.
  • Keep track of usage findings and feed them back to the toolset owners.
  • Work with each function's named people to transfer the skill, confirming they can run, adjust and extend the tool before you leave.

Requirements

  • You can build working prototypes and automations yourself - you write code or configure low- and no-code tools - without needing a full engineering handoff. You do not need to be a career software engineer.
  • You are as committed to transferring the skill as to building the tool. You teach by building alongside people and you measure success by them not needing you afterwards.
  • You have the judgement to tell a function lead that AI is the wrong tool for a problem, and be believed.
  • You understand what needs Legal or Privacy sign-off - data handling, tool approval - and you raise and route it before anything ships.
  • You build trust and move work forward without formal authority, managing expectations and keeping momentum when priorities compete - or you have the appetite to develop this.
  • You design, test and refine prompts that hold up in repeated use, not just in a one-off demo - or the appetite to develop this.
  • Comfortable maintaining a working view of the approved AI tools relevant to the use case in hand and picking the right one for the job, including light admin tasks such as connectors and settings in tools like Claude - or keen to build this.
