American Spaces Assistant / Amerikos kampelių koordinatorius, FSN-8

The American Spaces Assistant, working under the direct supervision of the American Spaces Program Specialist (ASPS), supports daily delivery of a dynamic, multi-faceted schedule of activities, projects, and events at the Embassy Vilnius American Corners throughout Lithuania, seeking to identify new and emerging influencers in Lithuania. Develops and maintains ties with the priority audiences to support U.S. foreign policy goals and America’s interests. Coordinates the relationship between the Public Diplomacy (PD) Section and the American Corners’ several thousand contacts, the general public, and additional monthly visitors/patrons.  Incumbent performs a range of tasks, including but not limited to, supporting and coordinating the Corner programs of regular activities.  The incumbent will endeavor to build partnerships between American Space programming and alumni outreach.  

EXPERIENCE: 

Two years of experience at a library, cultural center, marketing, tourism, customer service, and/or administrative position is required.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, library science, American Studies, marketing or public administration is required.

LANGUAGE:

Fluent knowledge of English and Lithuanian (Speaking/Reading/Writing) is required. This may be tested.
