Application Support Analyst

Technical support:

• For development infrastructure support provide hands-on support, problem investigation and resolution across the following areas:
Unix admin, Oracle, Websphere, Windows, Tomcat, Postgres
• For development infrastructure will need expert ability in writing scripts in shell, python and ideally have experience in perl
• For development tool support provide hands-on support, maintenance, upgrades, problem investigation and resolution for tools such as:
Atlassian - Jira, Stash, Fisheye, Confluence
Sonar, Artifactory, Crowd, SVN, GIT, Jenkins, Gradle
• Provide support across above tools for global mobile development team (UK, USA, India, Lithuania) for their monthly releases
• Support and implement new development tools as required to support mobile development team
• Put forward ideas forward to improve efficiency of the wider mobile team and follow through to completion where appropriate

Project management: contributing to the successful delivery of the environmental projects

• Excellent proven knowledge of several of the following areas: Unix, Oracle, Bladelogic, Firewalls, WAGs, Websphere
• Proactiveness and having a can-do attitude
• Ability to investigate complex technical issues through to resolution in a timely manner to support monthly mobile releases
• A track record of managing technical issues and implementing technical tools/connectivity
• Willingness to pick-up issues and follow through to resolution even with no previous knowledge of the area the issue impacts
• Willingness to learn new skills and support new tools as required by mobile releases
• Good stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
