Job Description

Role purpose
The primary responsibility of the audit project manager will be to deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of his audit clients. Will also provide assistance to co-workers in work with client and audit process improvement. On occasion may become involved in special assignments with companies consulting, due diligence or other tasks.

Principal accountabilities
• Act as a major point of contact within the firm for the client together with the partner. This includes responding quickly to, as well as anticipating, client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided and maintaining regular contact with clients.
• Responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at senior levels, being a principal point of contact throughout the year. Develop a strong commercial understanding of the clients’ businesses.
• Complete assignments within agreed budgets and timescales and identify opportunities for additional billings.
• Ensure that the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Identify and recognise business and sales opportunities with new and existing clients and inform the partner and client as appropriate.
• Support partners in the development of new business relationships and business proposals through high level sales and marketing activity.
• Support partners with the implementation and communication of any new business strategy for existing clients, target clients and the internal business.
• Demonstrates a good understanding of the firm's audit approach and is able to assist junior staff in understanding the theory behind the approach.
• Identifies statutory and regulatory changes that will affect own clients.
• Act as an ambassador of the firm, participates in office events

Requirements

Technical performance
• Prepares reports, documentation and correspondence.
• Keeps up-to-date with latest accounting and auditing developments.
• Reviews management letter points and drafts paragraphs for letters
• Demonstrates a good understanding of the firm's audit approach and is able to assist junior staff in understanding the theory behind the approach.
• Demonstrates understanding of tax issues and how these impact upon clients.
• Draws up plans and timetables for assignments.
• Monitors own and team performance against time allocations and reports difficulties.
• Reviews junior staff work.
• Prepare audit planning and all audit procedures

Required
• Higher education in finance, economics or related discipline.
• Good working knowledge of Lithuania local, International (IFRS) GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements.
• Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
• Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures.
Project Management or similar experience.

Desirable
• Experience auditing international groups
• Experience for auditing according to IFRS
• ACCA qualification is an advantage
