Chartered Financial Analyst

This will be an exciting and varied role with three components.

First is to become a FINRA Supervisory Analyst by passing FINRA’s Series 16 examination. This will qualify you to pre-approve SEB’s securities research for distribution in the US. As a Supervisory Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring that SEB’s securities research reports meet the standards set by our Research Instruction, which is designed to meet all the relevant rules laid down by FINRA, ESMA and other regulators.
Second, you have, or will be able quickly to develop, English language skills that will allow you to provide editing input to the research reports you are working on. Editing input varies from a light makeover on quick-to-market research reports to, in some cases, significant restructuring or re-writing of longer documents.
Third, you will provide analytical back-up to our highly ranked team of securities analysts. Tasks will range from data mining to fact-finding and helping analysts populate their Excel models.  In some cases you may be asked to write sections of securities research reports.  

To be successful in this role You should have a degree in business and finance and ideally have a minimum of CFA Level 1. You have excellent English language skills. You are an expert in Excel and highly proficient in Word and PowerPoint. You will have experience in the financial services industry, or can demonstrate an aptitude rapidly to acquire the insights you will need to fulfil this role. You will have a questioning intellect, a personable manner and an ability to communicate confidently with highly experienced and well regarded analysts. You will be working in a highly supportive and experienced team , but as the only member of the supervisory/publishing team based in the Baltics we hope, you'll enjoy working remotely from your London-based colleagues.
