Chief Accountant

We invite you to join the global bicycle manufacturing leader Pon.Bike and become a Chief Accountant at Pon.Bike Lithuania.

In this role, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for internal financial reporting, statutory reporting, and optimization of accounting processes in line with Pon.Bike group standards, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the preparation, review, and submission of statutory reports, ensuring full alignment with Local GAAP and Group GAAP requirements and corporate governance protocols.
• Lead the insourcing and standardization of third-party statutory accounting processes.
• Own the end-to-end design and rollout of a global reconciliation framework ensuring local-to-international alignment.
• Establish a comprehensive balance sheet control environment to govern the preparation and accuracy of reconciliations.
• Drive the annual audit process with a focus on 'right-first-time' delivery.
• Act as the primary Finance Functional Owner for SAP, driving the strategic design, customization, and optimization of the system to align with evolving business needs.
• Lead all aspects of local tax compliance and accounting to ensure precise and timely filings.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role (international company experience is considered a strong advantage).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field.
• Fluency in Lithuanian and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience working with SAP and accounting systems (experience with Vikarina is a plus), strong Excel skills.
• Deep understanding of tax accounting, including payroll-related matters.
• Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills.
