Job Description

Lead and manage a team of accountants, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities

  • Oversee the preparation and timely submission of VAT declarations and other tax reports to the Tax Authority (VMI), ensuring full compliance
  • Manage and oversee the accurate calculation and administration of salaries, bonuses, and other payments across the organization
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to the State Social Insurance Fund Board (Sodra)
  • Supervise payment execution, bank transaction recording, and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
  • Coordinate and review invoice registration processes, supporting and guiding junior team members as needed
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, providing essential financial data and ensuring timely, thorough responses to inquiries
  • Lead the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems, including testing, implementing, and scaling new tools and workflows
  • Drive the month-end close process and other key reporting periods, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained
  • Collaborate closely with the broader finance team to support strategic planning, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Take ownership of additional strategic initiatives and responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Proven experience managing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with local regulations
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software, ideally Microsoft 365 Business Central
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience liaising with auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
